The Barnsley Specialty Training Scheme for General Practice provides GP registrars with a tailor-made package of educational and personal support to enable them to develop into confident, competent and well-balanced general practitioners.

Rotherham is a commercial, rural and industrial centre in South Yorkshire. Being located between two motorways, and a major road, means easy access to the shopping centres and attractions of the nearby cities of Sheffield, Leeds and Nottingham.

The  Clumber Park GP Speciality Training Programme is well established, with hospital posts particularly suited to GP education. The scheme is able to offer traditional three-year rotations with 20 months in GP Practice and 16 months in hospitals.

The Scheme aims to help registrars acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes required for modern General Practice. We encourage participants to take responsibility for their own learning in training posts and GPSTP groups.

We are fortunate, as a scheme to be large enough to be able to offer a wide diversity of practices. Most of our practices are involved in undergraduate training and some also in pre-registration house officer training. 

The Airedale Programme aims to offer as much variety as possible to its Specialist Training Registrars. In addition to the standard hospital posts, we aim to be as flexible as possible with part time working and are sometimes able to offer Innovative posts in the community.

The Bradford GP Training Scheme is known for its innovative training programme, wide range of educational opportunities and personalised support, giving GP trainees in Bradford a varied, holistic and memorable training experince.
